Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning prevents mold, bacteria, and mineral buildup.

  1. Daily: Empty and rinse the water tank if not in use for more than 24 hours.
  2. Weekly Cleaning:
    • Unplug the unit and remove the water tank.
    • Clean the tank with a soft brush and a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). Swirl and rinse thoroughly.
    • Wipe the base and ultrasonic plate with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the base in water.
    • Dry all parts completely before reassembly.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed): For areas with hard water, use undiluted white vinegar in the tank, let sit for 15-20 minutes, then scrub and rinse.

WARNING! Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or detergents. Always unplug before cleaning.

Using Essential Oils

The LV455CH has a dedicated essential oil tray located near the nozzle.

  1. Ensure the humidifier is off and unplugged.
  2. Pull out the small rectangular essential oil tray.
  3. Add 3-5 drops of your preferred 100% pure essential oil onto the absorbent cotton pad inside the tray.
  4. Slide the tray back into its slot.
  5. Operate the humidifier as normal. The mist will carry the aroma.

CAUTION! NEVER add oils, water, or any liquid directly into the water tank, base, or mist nozzle. This can damage the unit and void the warranty. Clean the oil tray weekly with rubbing alcohol.
